Safig
Customer: Safig (www.safig.fr)
Paris, France

Established in 1973, Safig provides postal address management, document management and CRM services to some of the largest companies in France.

Business Drivers: Safig Dataway, the business intelligence and customer relationship marketing (CRM) division of Safig, was looking increase the sophistication and flexibility of its postal mail service offering. This solution had traditionally been deployed on mainframe and UNIX platforms and Safig wanted to make it more adept at addressing both today's and tomorrow's standards in this space.

Solution: Looking for an alternative that would include full support of JEE architectures, Safig decided to recompile its technology with the isCOBOL Compiler in the isCOBOL Application Platform Suite (isCOBOL APS). Moving to isCOBOL APS gave gave Safig the ability to deploy its solution in a native Java platform.

Safig's customers are now able to expose components of the Safig Dataway software solution as services in their Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) environments. Today, CONFINOGA, a key Safig client, is able to leverage the Safig Dataway solution in an IBM WebSphere infrastructure to support thousands of online credit record updates per day.

Partner: Due to their high service quality and the availability of their support arm, Veryant France SARL was selected by Safig to assist in this move to isCOBOL. With the help of Veryant France SARL, Safig's move to the isCOBOL platform was completed in just 1 month.
