Dan Moss
Business Development Director
As Business Development Director, Dan Moss is responsible for growing new Veryant business on a worldwide basis. Dan assists customers from a range of industries with the transition from alternative platforms such as Micro Focus® extend® (formerly ACUCOBOL-GT®), Micro Focus RM/COBOL®, and Micro Focus COBOL to isCOBOL Evolve and vCOBOL Enterprise. In addition to these responsibilities, Dan also plays a strategic role supporting international Veryant sales managers as they expand their market share.
Having worked in IT for more than 20 years, Dan has extensive application development and COBOL programming experience.
Prior to joining Veryant, Dan served as the director of software development at Incentem, Inc. At Incentem, Dan led the design of a Web-based .NET data warehouse application. He also served as the director of application software tools at Passport Software, where he designed and developed GUI tool application drivers using ACUCOBOL-GT. Prior to Passport Software, Dan was the president and CEO of Professional Billing Software, Inc., where he designed and developed applications such as Order Entry, Inventory Control, and POS systems using a variety of COBOL platforms.
Dan attended the University of South Florida and he currently resides in Fort Myers, Florida, where he enjoys playing trumpet and guitar in addition to pursuing his other interests.
Dovid Lubin
Vice President of Technical Operations
As Vice President of Technical Operations, Dovid Lubin is in charge of Product Development and Technical Services for Veryant. Dovid provides direction and leadership for the development of the isCOBOL Application Platform Suite (isCOBOL APS). He oversees pre and post sales support, as well as transition services. In addition to these responsibilities, Dovid maintains a customer-first focus by aligning Veryant's product development efforts with all other areas of the company including Sales, Marketing and Support.
Dovid resides in Los Angeles, California and graduated from UCSD with bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Cognitive Science. He worked for Acucorp, Inc from 1992-2000 where he has served as project lead and senior developer for ACUCOBOL-GT®. From 2000-2002 Dovid worked for SeeBeyond Technologies Corporation where he designed and developed a Java Message Service (JMS) for e*Gate, a suite of tools for enterprise application integration and business process management. In 2002 Dovid returned to Acucorp where he last served as Vice President of Product Development, responsible for the Development, Quality Assurance and Communications departments. Dovid was the senior architect for several of Acucorp's products and features such as AcuConnect® Thin Client and AcuWebServices.
Marco Bertacca
Chief Scientist
As Chief Scientist, Marco Bertacca provides product vision and development leadership for Veryant. Marco has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and he initially conceived and developed the original isCOBOL project.
Marco's interests include COBOL, Java and Linux technologies and has published four books on these topics with McGraw-Hill. Marco attended Pisa University and he currently resides in Viareggio, Italy where he enjoys playing jazz tenor saxophone in addition to pursuing his other interests.

As President of Veryant's Italian offices, Massimo Bertoli provides leadership for Veryant's European operations and plays an active role in managing the quality assurance and release engineering for the isCOBOL Application Platform Suite. Massimo was president and founder of Veryant Italia and has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.
Massimo worked for Acucorp Italia for 10 years prior to joining Veryant. He currently resides Piacenza, Italy and attended the University of Milano where he obtained a degree in IT.
