isCOBOL technology supports a wealth of 32-bit and 64-bit platforms including AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows.

The table below lists the platform-specific downloads that are available for isCOBOL software. If you do not see a desired target architecture listed here please contact Veryant. Because isCOBOL is built on the Java platform, if Java is supported on the preferred target environment it is very likely isCOBOL software and your COBOL application will run successfully on that platform.

Additional information

Being Java-based, the isCOBOL Compiler runs on any platform that supports a Java Development Kit (JDK) version 1.4.2 or greater. The isCOBOL Debugger and isCOBOL compiled code can also run on any platform that supports a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) of 1.4.2 or later*.

*Not: The Eclipse-based isCOBOL IDE and isCOBOL ISAM ODBC currently run only on Windows-based platforms.
